The 800M series is a top to bottom refresh of Nvidia’s dedicated laptop GPUs, and it’s being positioned as a major launch. Today Nvidia is bringing gaming laptop fans some features they deserve - and enabling even thinner, lighter form factors - via the new GTX 800M series of discrete notebook graphics cards. And while “traditional” desktop and laptop sales slide south, their gaming counterparts are on the rise. Of course if that had any semblance of truth, it wouldn’t be a $25 billion industry - actually edging out global box office receipts by a few million bucks in 2013.
